Formerly known as the Broadway Bridge, the John Jordan “Buck” O’Neil Memorial Bridge project in Kansas City stands out for HNTB Corp. as one that has a significant benefit for Downtown.
The triple arch bridge carrying U.S. 169 over the Missouri River originally opened in 1956. It underwent a short-term rehabilitation in 2018, but a new bridge was needed to provide continued use. Construction on the $220 million replacement project began in July 2021 and is expected to be finished in December 2024.
