Lenexa-based GBA recently was selected as part of the lead design team for the highly anticipated Kansas Department of Transportation 69 Express project, which will add the state’s first express lanes on U.S. Highway 69 in Overland Park.
The project involves adding a tolled lane in each direction from 103rd to 151st streets, replacing 50-year-old pavement, building 11 noise walls and making interchange improvements at 167th Street, Blue Valley Parkway and Interstate 435. The existing four lanes on U.S. 69 will not be tolled.
