Diane Botwin has been in real estate development and management for thirty-nine years with property in the Crossroads Arts District, the Waldo neighborhood, Prairie Village and the Columbus Park neighborhood. Diane’s focus is to provide neighborhood sensitive development that is thoughtful in its design and placement. All her commercial tenants are small businesses. Diane loves small entrepreneurs because they are so resilient, so creative, and so interesting. Diane believes we should all support local art, so she has engaged with artists like Jim Woodfill, Marcie Miller Gross, Anne Lindberg, Sonie Joy Ruffin and Mary Fasone who all ask the good questions and incorporate their visions and work into her buildings. Diane, along with her development partners, Andrew Ganahl and Kevin Klinkenberg, completed their newest development, Columbus Park Townhomes and Pacific Street Flats for which they just received a 2025 Capstone Award!
Diane has a BFA in Music from Newcomb College at Tulane University and a law degree from the University of Missouri Kansas City School of Law, where she was an editor of "The Urban Lawyer,". Diane is a past board member and chairperson of reStart Inc.
Diane is a past Chair of the Board of Directors of Jewish Vocational Service. Diane was a member of the Board of Directors of STOP Violence, a not-for-profit endeavoring to end bullying in schools and workplaces. Diane is a member or WIRED (Women in Real estate Development). Diane joined the class of 2004 Business Journal Women Who Mean Business. She currently is a volunteer docent at the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art and the Nelson Atkins Museum of Art.
